Zara sale !

Hello!

The summer Zara sale started last Friday at 12am. I couldn't sleep, so I went online and checked out the sale. I was hesitant at first, but when I saw a bag that I had added into my shopping cart get sold out... I pulled the trigger.

I had bought a bunch of clothes for work, simple tshirts so I didn't bother taking too many pictures.
Just plain ones.

I always look forward to receiving Zara packages!

This time it was in a cute blue packaging.

I bought quite a bit of clothes, most of which were too big though.
Not too fond of the print on the shirt on the right side...

The main reason I pulled the trigger ...
The blue version of this bag was sold out! I made the purchase at like 12:30am!
But luckily I grabbed the white one as well.

(The Studded Satchel Bag: Ref.4125/304)

This bag was quite expensive. I believe it isn't leather, and it was $69.99.
But it was too cute to pass up! I needed a small crossbody, but bigger than fitting just a phone inside.
The studs are nice quality ... and they hurt. I wonder if I will accidentally hurt anyone ...
The inside of the bag. It's pretty roomy.

Some more shots of the exterior.

A wrap skirt that I picked up.

These sweaters are also one of my favourites in this order.
I bought them in two colours! Haha.

White:

Wearing this beautiful cardigan.
(Excuse the messy background)

And Brown~Beige:

A comparison of the white vs. the brown/beige.

I love love love these sweaters. I will probably end up wearing one of these tomorrow even though it's way too hot in Canada. Hopefully I'll get a chance to take more pictures with them on!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I ordered Friday morning (midnight) and I received it today (Monday) ! I love how fast Zara gets shipped to me.

Until next time,

Zara - Studded Leather City Bag Review

Hey everyone!

I was browsing Zara's sale section because I'm on the lookout to add to my handbag collection. I saw this bag in the sale section, and I thought it was pretty cute. It said it was 100% genuine leather, with the dimensions 28 x 36 x 15cm / 11 x 14 x 6". Unfortunately, the pictures on the Zara website it doesn't fully show how big it is and it's hard to compare with a picture of just a hand holding the bag.

So I decided I'd take some pictures of the bag, since I looked online (eBay, google searched) and I still couldn't find out more about this bag.

It's actually quite pretty, as I was taking it out of the box my sister said she wanted to use it already! Ha! Me first!!

The bag is actually very big; it fits my folder, water bottle, laptop, a book, an agenda, and my gloves. There's a crossbody strap and a short handle, so here I am (in my jammies) trying out the bag.

(You can get the bag here, and it has been further reduced!! Ref. 8773/204 http://www.zara.com/ca/en/trf/handbags/studded-leather-city-bag-c541700p1475559.html)

~~

The bag came like this, stuffed into the box, so my hopes weren't too high. Thankfully, it didn't do much damage, but I would've been very upset if it were more expensive.

The damage! I think someone might have tried the bag on before it was shipped to me. The buckles aren't aligned, but I could fix that. The strap however, is permanently bent, hopefully I'll be able to straighten it back up because right now it's almost at a 90degree angle!

The buckles are removable! And the straps are held together by snap buttons.

The close up of the studs. (I just placed this on my lap, and the studs are so cold. I'm worried now about the summer and if this heats up and brushes against my leg!)

The original cost of this bag!! I am super happy that I was able to get this on sale!

The inside is pretty plain. It has a polyester lining, and there are no pockets.

Close up of the strap and the button closure.

The side of the bag. Again, I think this might have been on display in a Zara store, as the sides are pretty worn, but I guess it also seems like it's been "well-loved." The straps for the crossbody worry me though, I'm not sure how much weight it can handle as it's pretty thin.

What I put inside my bag, it's pretty spacious.

I put my laptop in after the previous picture. It does fit my laptop (15inch) but it peaks out a little bit on the top.

 The short handle.

I probably won't be putting heavy things in this bag, because when I hold it up by the handle, the top of the bag makes a little "dip"

My last two pictures! Here I am trying on the bag, I'm 5'3/5'4ish, and I guess it sits nicely on me.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep this bag or not (I had regrets after I placed my order) but I decided to buy it first and return it if I really didn't like it. But I actually think I'll enjoy using this bag.

Thanks for reading!!
Happy shopping.

New Year, new goodies !

Hi !

I haven't posted in awhile, since after the summer my life has been sitting at home studying and applying for jobs and nothing (much) special has been happening.

I did snatch up some goodies from Black Friday and Boxing day sales :)
(Please excuse the mess in the background, I'm attempting to organize my room so I took everything out of the closest and drawers)

La Senza was having 50% off (on orders of $100+) and I had the VIP Prestige card, so I got an extra 10%.
These little ornaments (with *girl stuff* inside) was $5 before discount! So I got a bunch. I wish I bought some more so I can give to my girl friends next year, haha.

I got a potato cookbook!!!!! I love potatoes! I can't wait to try these out. My new years resolution/goal would be to cook the whole book!

Rudsak had 40% off and free shipping, so I got my mom some hats and a vest.

For my sisters, I got Ni No Kuni for $10 on Amazon!! Such a good deal, especially since it's developed by  Studio Ghibli! Just Dance 3 for the family, because sometimes we like to be silly. To get free shipping ($25+) I ordered a little bowl for animals, but I'm using it to hold my rings.

Under Armor had free shipping and 25% off, so I got some headbands so I can finally keep the hair out of my face at the gym, AND maybe motivate me to actually go more ...

I got some sticky tabs from Chapters ! I absolutely love stationary, and my excuse for this is that it'd help with my studying. Haha.

Finally, the last thing I got was from Sephora. Getting ready for Christmas presents for my friends!
And of course, some nail polishes for me. I'll show the swatches in another post :)

Some stuff from Boxing day:
Zara shoes and a sweater !

Unfortunately, one pair was too big, and the other ones fit my foot weird. Maybe I have weird feet :/

I got this pair from the kids section, (kid's size 6) but unfortunately, it converted into a 39 which is way too big for me.

I'm usually a 36/36.5 in shoes, so this pair was a bit big on me. It's alright but made my feet look a bit weird.

Lastly, I got these babies. It's going to be a return because it is also too big for me, and when I walked around in my house in them, it felt really big and heavy.

Got myself a Coach wallet, because all my other wallets are continental and sometimes when I want to use smaller bags/purses, I can't because my wallet won't fit! I can't believe I've gone so long without a billfold! The second the courier gave this to me, I put all my cards into it.

Lastly, what I got so far (some of my boxing day items are still in transit) is clothes from Aritzia!
This is my first package from Aritzia! It's super duper adorable!

The inside of the box! It's a sort of orangey-pink colour! So cute! I will definitely be ordering more now!

Got my mom a jacket, and I got these two t-shirts. The purple one is glow in the dark! I'm so excited to wear this. But, I probably will be hibernating for the next few days since Toronto feels like -40C!!

That's all for now,
See you all soon (I promise to blog more)

Quickie update and coat shopping!

Hello everyone,

I've been neglecting my blog for a while now, but honestly nothing much has happened in my life. After graduating university (yay!) I've been looking for a job (or maybe two? three?) for the past few months. It sucks when you don't drive, it really limits a lot of options. But that's okay, maybe my parents will let me drive without their supervision! Haha, I guess that's also my fault for not being more enthusiastic about getting my license!

So my two main priorties these days are:
1. Getting a job
2. Getting my (full) driver's license

Both of which is taking a lot more time and effort than I imagined.

Anyways, onto the fun parts, Halloween just passed and Christmas is coming up!
Yay! I love Christmas! The food, the presents, the songs, happy cheerful people who can't wait to get a few days off work, being with family and friends. Oh, I almost forgot about the snow and people being close to each other to keep warm.

I've been sick the past few weeks and I'm pretty sure it's because I don't have a proper jacket! I'm not sure how I survived the past few years in university, but I am getting sick all the time in Toronto.

I'm not too particular about my jacket, I'd just like a warm, double-breasted, black (or dark navy) peacoat, that is made of wool or some sort blend with (preferably) cashmere. So far, the only one that fits my list is the Aritzia Howell Coat.I'm not quite sure if it's the "perfect" one yet.

I've looked through many different stores, in almost all the malls nearby, but I haven't found anything else.
I tried on a Ralph Lauren jacket (from The Bay) and it looked a bit funny on me.

The Bay was having a sale, so I went to a few malls and Yorkdale had the biggest selection. I tried on a size 2, the sides were really loose on me but the sleeves were too short.

I looked at a few coats from Zara, and Club Monaco, but the cutting was weird on me. Having seen the J.Crew catalog, I went to check out the "Majesty peacoat" but I didn't like the feeling of the exterior fabric. It was $348, even with the 25% off I wasn't convinced. I ended up on the J.Crew Factory website, so I found a similar peacoat for $220, and I knew I had to check it out in store.  The exterior on this jacket was a lot softer and smoother.

I wasn't too happy with the floppy buttons though. It is a bit plain which I don't mind, but being that it's J.Crew Factory, I might wait for their promotions and order it online.

Since I still haven't found a proper jacket yet, I ended up at Forever21 and bought a jacket to play around with. It's cuter in person, haha, but I'm not too sure how warm it is. It was pretty inexpensive, but surprisingly contains 47% wool. (Whereas the J.Crew Factory contained 60% wool.)

My sister recently bought the Aritzia Howell Coat, in black, which is 70% wool with 10% cashmere.
I don't have a picture of me wearing it (yet), haha, but I'll definitely be stealing ... I mean borrowing it. Haha, what are sisters for? I never would've expected coat shopping to be so hard!

Until next adventure,
